Frankfurt keen to take unwanted forward off Arsenal’s hands

|

Nicklas BendtnerEintracht Frankfurt are interested in signing Nicklas Bendtner this summer.

The brash Dane has spent the past two seasons on loan at Sunderland and Juventus after falling out-of-favour at Arsenal.

However, the 25-year-old, who has one-year left to run on his existing deal at Arsenal, is expected to return to The Emirates as Juve don’t seem keen to sign him on a permanent basis.

Bendtner will more than likely be heading out of Arsenal this year though after Arsene Wenger brought in Olivier Giroud and Lukas Podolski last summer and other top strikers have already being linked with a move to the north London club in the upcoming transfer window.

TalkSPORT.com claim German newspaper Weisbadender Kurier are reporting Frankfurt are keen on the Denmark international but only if he is willing to take a cut in his wage demands.

I don’t care where he goes or who he signs for, just as long as he is off our books once and for all.

How much are they giving us? That would be something to get something for that Bedtner
and a reward for Wenger’s patience and heartache
of managing such a disruptive and inconsistent player.

In the event that Frankfurt develop cold feet over Bendtner, Arsenal should pay them so they take this bulky “striker”. Bendtner is a certified “dead-wood” and the gunners need to strike his weekly pack estimated at 60,000 pounds off their wage bill.
