‘Arsenal would be a very nice club and it is a big one’

Ruben-Garcia-Levante_2874993Arsenal are tracking down Levante youngster Ruben Garcia, according to Spanish publication Plaza Deportiva.

The 19-year-old winger made the first-team breakthrough at Levante this season, having played for the B side for the past two years, making 33 appearances in all competitions for the La Liga club and contributing four goals and five assists along the way.

The Spain under-19 international has attracted several clubs across the continent with his impressive displays for the Granotes, with Arsenal believed to be one of them.

And Arsene Wenger may be encouraged to make a move for Garcia this summer as the tricky winger revealed he would be tempted to join The Gunners:

‘In Spain there are teams very beautiful and very historic, but yes I like to travel and go outside.

‘Arsenal would be a very nice club and it is a big one.’

We have to wait and see if Wenger is actually eyeing up a move for Garcia or if it is just paper talk.

We all know Wenger likes to snap up promising youngsters and the Frenchman will probably look to bring in a few this summer. However, I don’t think Garcia will be one of them, as we already have the likes of Serge Gnarby and Thomas Eisfeld in our midst.
