Should Arsenal show an interest in this want-away German forward?

|

Stefan KiesslingChelsea have been offered a cut-price deal for Bayer Leverkusen striker Stefan Kiessling, with the German side ready to accept around £6 million, according to the Metro.

The 29-year-old wants to play in the Premier League next season and will force a move away from Leverkusen in order to do so.

German reports suggest Kiessling has told his agent to offer his services around the Premier League, with the German international eager to play for a London side.

Should Arsenal show an interest this summer?

Known for his strength, aerial ability and piercing eye for goal, Kiessling has netted 98 goals in 260 appearances in all competitions for Leverkusen since joining the Bundesliga club from Nurnberg in 2006.

Arsene Wenger will have cash to splash this summer and with news that Kiessling is eager to join a London club and could be signed for as little as £6 million, I think we would be foolish not to have a look at him.

Despite the summer signing of Olivier Giroud, who has done admirably well for us in his first full season, a lot of Arsenal fans still believe we lack firepower and options up-front.

Kiessling would certainly bolster our attacking options and offer us something different, and for £6 million he would be regarded as a bargain-buy.

Radamel Falcao would be the dream signing, but Kiessling looks a much more realistic target this summer.
