Mamadou SakhoLast week, The Sunday Express reported that Mamadou Sakho would consider leaving in the summer in order to keep his place in the national side.

Arsenal were once linked with a move for the 22-year-old centre-back, but the Frenchman decided to commit his future to the side, signing an extension until 2014.

However, since has taken charge of PSG, Sakho has suffered to get game time. The defender was stripped of the captain’s armband by the former Chelsea boss and has dropped down the pecking order behind Thiago Silva, Milan Bisevac and Alex. In addition, he was also told by club director, Leonardo, that he was ‘slightly overweight’.

Despite being a youth product of PSG, Sakho now appears to be seeking a summer exit from if things do not change quickly.

The said:

‘I cannot accept playing just a few minutes this season and next because this is a decisive moment in my career.

‘At the end of the season I will sit down with my agent and club officials and clear up the situation.

‘If I have to leave to keep my place in the national team, then I have no choice but to leave.’

If Sakho does decide to call it quits in the summer, should The look to renew their interest in him?
