Gunners lose out…AGAIN!!

Image for Gunners lose out…AGAIN!!

Another bitter blow was dealt to Arsene Wenger and co. after Yann M’Vila signed for Russian outfit Rubin Kazan in midweek.

The France international was reportedly being chased by Arsenal, Tottenham and newly QPR.

However, from seemingly out of nowhere, Rubin managed to strike a deal – reportedly worth £8.5 million – with Rennes for the Frenchman.

Rennes, who currently sit fifth in Ligue 1, confirmed the signing through a statement which read:

‘Stade Rennais, FC Rubin Kazan and Yann M’Vila have reached an agreement for the permanent transfer of the French international. After meeting the traditional medical visit, the Rennes midfielder joined officially on Wednesday evening, the Russian club.’

So Mohamed Diame, who was reportedly on Wenger’s radar, wants to stay at West Ham and M’Vila, who most Arsenal fans wanted to see come in this January transfer window to bolster the midfield department, moved to Russia…great…

The man, who would have been a perfect acquisition for our club in my opinion, went to Rubin, and for just £8.5 million as well! That’s a p*ss take and is quite frustrating to take in really.

Can’t see Wenger bringing anyone in this January to be honest.

Mvila was obviously not as popular as his agents would have us believe.Going to play in Russia is the young mans equivalent of joining la galaxy or those Chinese teams. He’ll earn good dough but…The fact that even qpr didnt buy him means he must be more hassle than hes worth. We do however need some back up fir diaby and i dont think coquelin is the answer at least not just yet
