What FIVE things did we learn from Manchester City v Arsenal?

So, deservedly, we managed to bag a point against the Premier League champions at the Etihad Stadium thanks to a late goal by Laurent ‘The Boss’ Koscielny and yet another dogged performance by our new look side.

Undoubtedly, we looked the better side throughout the entire 90 minutes. Ok, there were times where we were on the back foot, but we looked the better side out of the two. We kept possession well, created a few chances and were rewarded for our efforts in the end.

To be fair, if Gervinho had his shooting boots on, we would have travelled back to London with all the point, but beggars can’t be choosers, and I think the majority of the Arsenal faithful will be pleased with a point away from home to a team of City’s calibre.

So that’s five games in, nine points from a possible 15, nine goals for, two against and currently one of just four teams who have yet to taste defeat – not too shabby if I say so myself.

So what FIVE things did we learn about our beloved Gunners?

  • One world class striker and we are there

  • GILBO says:

I wonder why Wenger will not try Walcott down the middle, with his pace he would cause a lot of problems for defenders.

    a) The defence as awhole has improved.
    b) We still don’t have a top,top,goalie like Casillas
    c) If Santiago is unavailabel, what happens. he is the fulcrum
    d) The gunners still take along time to shoot.Watch how Ba scored agaginst norwich
e)We now have three top cd

It looks like Wenger has given up on Walcott because it was blatently obvious that he would have been a better option than Gervinho at the hour mark. He left it way too late to make the substitutions.

Gervinho is wasteful and should never be played as the number 1 scoring option again. He just isn’t good enough.

Ramsey can only play in the centre so play him there if he is to play at all.

Defensively we were amazing. Koscielny and Per were man of the matches for me. Cut out everything City threw at us. How many interceptions high up the pitch did they make?

The positions we need to improve are Goalkeeper and Striker, but, they are exactly the same positions that we needed to improve on when P£r$i£ was here.

It is going to be really painful seeing the opportunities that players at the club miss that P£r$i£ would eat for breakfast.

Fingers crossed our good run continues.

Another thing it is the second time in as many years where Wengers substitutions have been horrible.

There is no way Podolski and Diaby should have been taken off. Gervinho was the only one that should have been substituted. It is as big an error as the Chamberlain and Arshavin substitutions against Manchester United.

  • Ian goldbag mujaji says:

The team is fine but we need a sharp gunmen and tel gervinho to pass in time otherwise we should have beaten man city 3 before half time thanx for the built Wenger nobody knew gunners wil be like that fine

  • Mohamed says:

I am sure Giroud wil be a top player given time to adjust. He is already holding the head ball in the air with great confidence. He will score soon,
