has played down talks of a possible summer move to QPR, but would be prepared to move to Turkey, according to his agent.

The 31-year-old Russian is being linked with a move away from The Emirates following his short loan spell at former club St Petersburg last season, and reports suggest Mark Hughes’ side are keen on the diminutive forward.

However, Arshavin is not thinking about a move to Loftus Road this summer, but did hint that he could be leaving the north London club in the near future:

‘That’s all ‘virtual news’.

‘At the moment I am an Arsenal player, and I’ve just arrived for pre-season with them.’

He added:

‘In this life you should never say never.’

His agent confirmed Arshavin would consider a move to Turkey.

Quoted on, he said:

‘We have no problem going to Turkey.’

In all honesty, I will be very surprised to see Arshavin in an Arsenal shirt this season, especially after signing Lukas Podolski, and Santi Cazorla. Plus, he is well down the pecking order, hence his loan move to during the second half of last season.

He’ll probs feature in the minor Cup competitions and get some game time in the Premier League if he does stay, but I doubt he will after what has transpired already this summer.
