It seems Arsenal have developed somewhat of an infatuation with Udinese.

Our club has been linked with a number of their players, including goalkeeper Samir Handanovic, right-back Mauricio Isla and centre-back Mehdi Benatia in recent times.

Well now, according to Sportsmail, we’re tracking down another one of their stars by the name of Luis Muriel, a.k.a. the Colombian Cristiano Ronaldo.

Currently on loan at struggling Lecce, the 20-year-old has apparently caught the eye of Barcelona and several big clubs in Serie A, including Roma and AC Milan, after his impressive displays for the Salentini, bagging five goals and four assists in 21 appearances so far.

Known for his strength, speed, great skill and dribbling ability, Muriel has been compared to Cristiano Ronaldo and the Colombian looks like he could handle the physicality of the Premier League.

The forward is yet to receive his first full cap for the Colombian national side, but did extremely well at the Under-20 World Cup last year, scoring four goals for the Los Cafeteros.

Reports suggest that Udinese may be willing to sell Muriel if a bid of around £8 million was tabled. This would see the Italian side recoup a big profit from a player who signed for an undisclosed fee (thought to be around £1.25 million) less than two years ago from Deportivo Cali.

Here is a video of the skilful youngster in action:
