Arsenal are set to face stiff competition from Udinese for the signature of Sochaux midfielder Kevin Anin.
Anin, who has been impressive this season for the Ligu1 club, is thought to go someway in filling the gap left in Arsenal’s midfield, with the departures of Nasri and Fabregas during the summer window.
Having started off the season in disastrous form, The Gunners now find themselves sitting comfortably in 5th position, 2 points behind 4th place Tottenham.
It is believed Arsene Wenger will have to act fast if he wishes to sign Anin, especially now that Udinese are also reportedly chasing the 25-year-old midfielder.
In my opinion, Anin may do well at Arsenal, especially considering our current midfield situation. We have a few unhappy midfielders (Arshavin, Rosicky, Coquelin etc) amongst our ranks and some that are injured but due back before the New Year.
However, Arsenal should focus on the most pressing matter at hand – signing a striker to support Van Persie upfront and possibly acquiring a replacement for Santos at left-back, as the Brazilian is out for up to 3 months.
