Lyon could make a u-turn in their stance over playmaker Yoann Gourcuff and be willing to sell to Arsenal.
Reports from France claim that Lyon chairman Jean-Michel Aulas is already in London discussing a potential deal with Arsenal representatives.
This comes just two weeks after Aulas had claimed that Gourcuff would remain a Lyon player until the end of the season.
It is unclear whether Arsenal want to secure a permanent or temporary deal for the French international.
