Angry Gooners plan Anti-Wenger protest – what’s the bloody point!?

So we currently sit 15th in the Premier League after just 7 games, injuries aplenty, under par performances and poor form – what are we Arsenal fans to do?

Well the majority would get behind the team and management, whilst some, the minority, would pile even more unwanted pressure on the club.

At this point you’re probably asking yourself what the hell am I going on about. Well, I recenlty read in the The Mirror that a group of disgruntled Gooners plan to flag up their anger at Arsene Wenger and the squad when the Gunners host Sunderland at the Emirates next Sunday…really?

A new protest group, which go by the name of ArsenalFCnotPLC, will reportedly vent their annoyance and frustration during the Sunderland game next weekend by hanging up banners around the stadium in order to make their ‘cause’ more visible.

A displeased Arsenal season ticket holder, Chris Adsett, believes the time has come for Arsene Wenger to call it a day:

He was quoted in the Sunday Mirror saying:

‘Put simply it is not good enough for Arsenal.’

‘We are on a downward spiral and this needs to be addressed.’

‘Arsenal fans love and admire Wenger for what he has done, but that was then, this is now. We need a new face and new impetus, and soon.’

Listen, I can understand the fans frustration, but what’s the point of protesting for? What will it really achieve? Nothing. If anything it will only pile more pressure on a team that already is short on confidence.

But this is not to say that I don’t feel this minority’s frustration. I can’t put into words how upset and pissed I am to see my beloved Arsenal in the bottom half of the Premier League table…I just haven’t come to terms with it.

I believe things must change, mainly in the form of tactics and system, but you have to remember that we are without a lot of key players, which have undoubtedly hindered us – not to mention bad calls from referees.

Undoubtedly, Wenger and the Arsenal board have a lot to answer for and as fans we deserve to know what the hell is going on with our club, especially as we pay a hell of a lot of money to go see our team perform and see little outcome. However, a protest is not the way to go in my book.

Hopefully this angry mob will change their mind on their remonstration by Next Sunday.

Idiot fans like the MORONS calling for Wenger leaving is not what Arsenal needs.
You are all Tossers, Wankers and Pufters and MORONS.

You have NO IDEA about real life and real money.
This is NOT fantasy football where you click on your mouse and buy a fantasy player for $40 million.

You numbnuts were not fans BEFORE Arsene took over. Arsenal became Arsenal when Wenger taught us class and passing.

I invite ALL of you to become fans of the Spuds or move your to allegiance to Man City (the scum of the earth).
Please GO, Arsenal does not need YOU.

Bye, let the door hit you on the way out.

What a tiresome fellow you are. At least, no one could accuse you of having swallowed your dictionary.

    • Dal says:

Nice to see you can hold an adult argument. Sure your not a spud.

    • David says:

Arsenal USA – says it all – do yuu know where north London is?

I can’t believe there’s still a debate going on about the manager, it’s tiresome. Clearly he needs to go. The total car crash of the summer window was a sackable offence on it’s own.

I am finding that these blogs who all want their living to stay are run by people who have only been supporting the club since the mid nineties.

Let’s face it, if you’ve only ever known one manager you’re going to fear the unknown. I just wonder how awful things need to get before you lot finally also wake up. Relagation? Two years finishing mid table?

Look at the league table. Look at our form over the last 20 games. Look at the last transfer window when again we failed to take the club forwards.

      Time for a change.

One more thing you internet inbreds.

I remember in 2003/4 when the Man U brain damaged were calling for Alex Ferguson to be sacked.

The world has forgotten those lobotomized morons.

  • emeke says:

is it true that Wenger is paying some ‘fans’ to support him on this forum?

  • demongooner says:

actually you know what do what you want, because you dumb fu#*ers will never be happy, this once great club is being ruined by scum and i tell you now you a disgrace to all football clubs you so called arsenal scum

    • WC says:

Really? Because if I remember correctly somebody spent 50M in one day, had a 20M bid rejected for Pepe Reina, 28M bid rejected for Hazard, 30M bid rejected for Goetze and a 22M bid rejected for M’Vila.

Can’t afford it? More like doesn’t know how to negotiate transfers.

      • David says:

Exactly, why do that on the last day of the window? Because we’d been smashed to shut at Utd and our idiot manager finally realised how paper thin and rubbish our squad was. The mismanagement of the last window Bethesda belief, you couldn’t make it up.

    • Dal says:

5-6 of the players that have been brought in over the past 3 years have not been champions league quality. We can all see that. Even you dickgooner sorry I’m mean demon. Therefore our league position is compromised. The game and other teams have evolved. In doing so have passed or caught us. Us gooners that express our feelings just want him to dig that little bit further, to get them world class players, that will become the back bone of the team.

  • steve says:

The Protest Must Hold, How Much Long Ar We Gonna Take Dis shit. Losin 8-2 to Manutd. Languishing in the relegation zone after 7matches, and the most annoying thing been beaten by spuds. What can be worse, dis is the worst. Wenger must go 4 dis. In Arsene We Rust.

no one man is bigger than the club there is a question mark over wengers actions and the fans are right to question them

  • ArsenalUSA says:

Essy question to the Arsenal come lately traitors.

How is the $40 MILLION purchase of a player financed ?

    • Dal says:

Your not even talking in pounds/sterling. Are you Stan kroenke. You little blighter you. How’s the NFL team going.

      • ArsenalUSA says:

Dal, I was An Arsenal fan before you were born.
I actually played the game of football.
I have no clue about the NFL, I don’t watch it.

Now how does a club finance a €40 MILLION Euro purchase?

        • Dal says:

That is why 50% of the fans have kept there opinions to themselves over the past 5yrs. because we understand the stadium cost 400m. It was done to secure the long life of our club. Which is great and we are all grateful. We were told it would take time, which we understand. We have been patient. We spend on the future and at the same time forget about the current. Whilst doing this we lose our current crop of world class players. Not just losing them but selling them to another team that are our rivals and will help knock us out of the top 4. Nasri, w##ker he is, was ready to sign a new deal yet arsenal hesitated. Someones finger is not on the button and some of us want to find out if it’s the board or the manager. It’s our right to have some answers, regardless of age, arsenal usa. I’m all for building for the future but don’t forget the here and now. Life is short and we all want good memories.

    • keven says:

Easy does not even come ‘essy’ to you. Did the American not know about the Premiership before coming in? Is Kronke planning to do to Arsenal what they did to Liverpool?

  • Charlie says:

Can someone explain to me why Harry still has a job at Spuds. Up until their summer sales this year only City and Chelsea had spent more than them (net) on transfers over the last 15 years. Now they have been overtaken by Liverpool and United but still all teams above them have won something. It should be him that’s under the spotlight not Arsene, Arsenal are about 15th in transfer spending. Net spend by Arsenal including the stadium puts us just behind Man City in third by my calculations so hardly tight. Look, Arsene has performed miracles keeping Arsenal in the top 4 while having 400m less than his rivals to spend due to construction of the Emirates. That’s why this protest is idiotic.

  • Charlie says:

Tempers always run high on these blogs and there’s a load of pointless name-calling. I see both sides, the team IS underperforming and Arsene has made mistakes but in my opinion he has an impossible job. You can’t pretend the stadium isn’t there or that it didn’t cost roughly 400m to build and you can’t claim that we should be able to spend as much as any of the teams with similar expectations or even those with lower expectations. It’s too easy for us with no appreciation of the reality of managing the club to sit back and criticise but surely a manger should be measured against current circumstances and not against past glories. So current cirumstances are 15th in the league after 7 games with many new players. No good but in my opinion we should give Arsene more time because he has earnt that right and it is obvious that the new signings will take time.

  • Louis says:

Wenger should go to Hell. Enough is enough
