Here are 8 things you should know about Arsenal and Stoke prior to kick-off on Sunday:

1. Robin van Persie scored his fourth and fifth game of the season last weekend. The Arsenal striker has been unlucky so far this season, and his return of 5 goals comes from 35 attempts at goal with 63% on target. By comparison, Rooney has scored 9 from 32 attempts with 59% on target.

2. Van Persie’s goals lifted him 45 places to 23rd in the EA SPORTS Player Performance Index, making him Arsenal’s highest ranked player.

3. Mikel Arteta is there next highest ranked player in 78th place. The Spanish midfielder has scored twice in the Barclays Premier League this season from 15 attempts at goals with 53% on target.

4. He is also joint second in the table for passes completed in his opponent’s half with 227, joint with Man City star Yaya Toure and only behind his team mate David Silva. Arteta also covered more distance than any other Arsenal player against Sunderland with 9.907km.

5. Stoke City scored two late goals against Fulham to record their second home win of the season.

6. Peter Crouch covered most distance in that game with 10.786km in a Stoke team that together covered 110.461km.

7. Asmir Begovic remains Stoke’s top ranked player and will be tasked with keeping Robin van Persie at bay. The Bosnian goalkeeper has made 39 saves this season and kept 5 clean sheets in 8 appearances.

8. Jonathan Walters scored his second goal of the season against Fulham. The striker has had 10 attempts at goal this season, getting 50% of his shots on target.
