Stan Kroenke has recently pledged to speak to the Arsenal faithful over his ownership of the club, according to the Daily Star Sunday – it’s about bloody time!

The 64-year-old American billionaire, who owns 66.6% of Arsenal FC, has been labelled by the media and many fans alike as ‘Silent Stan’ due to his refusal to discuss his plans for the club since his takeover back in April.

However, with more and more Arsenal fans becoming disgruntled over Stan’s lack of involvement, many are now favouring a possible takeover by Alisher Usmanov. However, Kroenke has vowed to address the pressing issues that face Arsene Wenger and the Arsenal board.

A source stated:

‘Mr Kroenke should provide answers to questions that fans and shareholders are asking.’

But season ticket holder Chris Adsett believes Kroenke’s lack of involvement and communication with the Arsenal fans has been scandalous:

‘Kroenke’s communication with fans has been scandalous.’

It is understood that Kroenke will attend the club’s AGM meeting on October 27 to discuss the matters at hand – let’s hope this is true.

I really hope that Mr. Kroenke does come out and explain what’s going on at our club – as fans we deserve to know, especially after they decided to jack up the ticket prices this season.

No more hiding anymore Stan, time to show your face and be heard.

    how I wish mr. usmanov could take over, at times its pays to have an owner who is willing to use his as an item to be proud leading to the need to pamper it like in the case of mufc and CFC. please go away stan, we don’t need you.

    @samuel, don’t be 2 sure usmanov o!

    Do you not understand ? We ex shareholders are no longer shareholders because we had to sell out .. to Kroenke. The AGM will be attended (maybe) by Usmanov (who was rich enough not to sell out) plus one or two oldies who never sold out because they are stuck in an old folks home.

    The AGM will be a non event … well it always was anyway.

    Kreonke has a big problem. He plus the CEO are promotional men, merchandise men, investing type business men who know jack xxxx about ‘ soccer.’ Kroenke thought he was buying into a club which could be better commercially exploited and did NOT need reorganising in football terms. He was wrong and will have no idea what to do about it.

    Kroenke hasn’t had the chance to do much since he became the owner. A USA team he has is having to be sold soon because of American rules, so he’ll have more time to invest in Arsenal. He’s very busy and he is based 5000 miles away. Give the man a chance. Not because he’s good for Arsenal, but because you have absolutely no choice. He now owns the Club. If pushed, threatened by fans, etc – he can do to Arsenal what the Glazers have done at United.

    He is capable, he’s entitled, but he chooses not to do this. If nothing else, you should be thankful for this. I am. I would rather see Arseanl in mid-table mediocrity than have Arseanl used as security on loans taken out in America.

    United are now in over 800 Million quid debt. Their debt increases yearly. They are just paying off the interest. Soon Ferguson will retire and the club will become one of the first to implode because of his absense, the retirement of aging players and the debt. When you consider United, just before the Glazers took over, had the largest stadium in England, was winning everything possible and had NO DEBT, you’ll see what could have been happening at Arsenal.

    We’ve paid off half the stadium. In the same time United have increased their debt by the same amount we’ve reduced ours. The future looks good providing we have Kroenke as owner. Usmanov is an unknown future and the man has a questionable character and past. Kroenke is a seeable future and the man is a highly respectable person with no questionable past.

    Exactly. Usmanov is sleezy and has a huge ego. And do you really think he knows anything more about football than Stan? Stan is more the type to hire experts to run the club and then get out of the way. I know a lot of you want a bigger spender, but do we really want to be another Chelsea. Do we really want to be the plaything of some rich owner until he loses interest and leaves the club in a shambles because it doesn’t k ow how to operate as a business? If quick glory is your wish then perhaps Stan is not the right owner for you. But if you want Arsenal to be around in 10, 25, 50 years then he’s actually just what we need.
