Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger may be forced into offloading one of his star players, following the serious interest shown by two of Italy’s heavyweights.

Inter Milan and Juventus are keen to sign Samir Nasri this summer, according to the player’s agent.

Nasri has been involved in stalling contract negotiations for six weeks now, and ultimately has decided he wants out of the club, having failed to win a piece of silverware in six seasons.

His agent, Alain Miglaccio, confirmed the interest shown by the two Serie A sides in a recent interview, with the report going onto suggest that both clubs are preparing lucrative deals for the Frenchman.

Miglaccio affirmed to Calciomercato.com:

‘Inter Milan and Juventus asked for him – AC Milan did not.’

Despite Wenger desperately wanting to keep hold of his key midfielder, he may be tempted into selling him to an Italian club, as opposed to a direct rival such as Manchester United.

I agree with the above that If Nasri doesn’t sign a new contract or an extension, sell him to the Italians. The player we have not replaced properly has been Gilberto, he had Stamina to run up and down the pitch and at great speed. He could and did help with the defense during rapid counter attacks. This meant that the defense had time to do their job better. He had long striding legs, and the knack of challenging at the right time to break up the counter attacks. He was first up the front when we counter attacked, pulling oppositions defense out of position, or on the end of a cross ready to score. He kept the team together and was not noticed until he was not there. Vierra was similar, but more attacking.
What we need is a player in that mold and we will stop 20 of the 40 or so goals we conceded, and score an extra 5 goals a season. Does anyone know of such a player available now?

I think we can replace nasri easily. Ramsey is a similar type player he can cover nasri’s spot.
