Arsenal have rejected a £1.5 million bid from Norwich City for Henri Lansbury, which has left the youngster pondering his future at the north London club, according to talkSPORT.

The 20-year-old spent the last half of last season on loan at Carrow Road and Paul Lambert was hopeful of acquiring the young midfielder on a permanent basis this summer.

However, the Gunners have reportedly turned down Norwich City’s £1.5 million offer for the England Under-21 international, which has left the Canaries plotting their next move for the midfielder, if any.

Arsene Wenger is known to be a keen admirer of Lansbury and has stated in the past that he does have a bright future ahead at the Emirates. But the youngster wants assurances from the Frenchman this summer that he will be part of first-team affairs this season. If he does not get the assurances that he wants, then Lansbury could ask to leave the club, either on loan or on a permanent basis sometime this summer.

Maybe a bid in the region of £2-3 million would do the trick.

  • George Georgiou says:

I hope he stays. Can fill in for Sagna once Eboue is sold, Can do a job on the Right Wing when Walcott is mostly out injured and Rosicky not setting the game alight, and could fill in anywhere across midfield basically. A better version of Ray Parlour and what Arsenal needs. THe £3m (His Worth atm) is not really gonna put a dent in the stadium debt and his attitude has been first class. Another loan would only be beneficial if it was in the premier league, but him alongside Vela and Bartley should be fringes of 1st team this forthcoming season.

Loaning him to Norwich would not benefit him as they will get hammered week in week out and he’s got a winning mentality, not fair on him really to kill it.

Afobe Aneke Miquel and Henderson should be loaned out.

Some deadwood already being moved on, I hope JET realises his potential one day and proves le boss wrong.
