Arsenal have offered want-away midfielder Denilson in a straight swap deal for Shakhtar Donetsk star Douglas Costa, according to the 20-year-old’s agent.
However, it is believed that the Ukrainian side are not interested in the Arsenal midfielder, and would prefer hard cash instead for the Brazilian.
Costa’s agent, Cesar Bottega, was quoted on Italian website, Calciomercato.com, saying:
‘The Gunners have offered the Ukrainian club Denilson in exchange for Douglas, but Shakhtar said no. They are not interested in Denilson and would want only money.’
Although slightly inconsistent in his performances, the Brazil Under-20 international, possesses explosive pace, skill, and a potent goal threat when cutting in from the right flank. Costa, who primarily is an attacking midfielder but can also play on the wings, managed to net 7 goals in 42 appearances for Shakhtar last season.
Costa still has four-years left to run on his current contract with Donetsk, which means that if Arsenal are interested in his services this summer, then the North London club may have to splash out a few bob to acquire him.
Arsenal are also thought to be interested in Costa’s team-mate Willian this summer.

I hope Arsené gets him and some more players
It it really true? because we are used to rumor and no action. we have been lined with virtually all players in world football yet no reasonable attempt at getting these players. It’s time for action but not empty talks.
