‘I will let you go to Barcelona or Real Madrid, but not to the Premier League’

Arsene Wenger has opened the door for club captain Cesc Fabregas to leave the Gunners this summer, but not for any Premier League side.

Reports in Spain claim that Wenger has finally given up hope in trying to persuade the 24-year-old midfielder to remain in North London, given the club’s six-year trophy drought.

However, the Frenchman insists he will not sell the Spaniard to another Premier League side, ruining any hope of Manchester City or Chelsea signing him this summer.

Wenger was quoted on MundoDeportivo.com telling Fabregas:

‘I will let you go to Barcelona or Real Madrid, but not to the Premier League.’

Undoubtedly Fabregas’ boyhood club Barcelona will be the clear favourites to land him, but the Catalans could yet face stiff competition from both Milan clubs as well as arch-rivals Real Madrid.

However, Spanish sources claim that Cesc Fabregas may miss out on approximately £2 million-a-year if he does want to make his dream move to Barca become a reality this summer.

It is believed that the Gunners did offer Cesc an extra £2 million per season to remain in North London, without extending his current deal.

But it seems the Gunners efforts were in vain, as Fabregas’ agent, Darren Dein, is scheduled to meet Barcelona representatives as early as this weekend.

To be honest, I don’t think money was the issue for Cesc – the guy just wants to return home and win trophies.

I really don’t blame him for wanting to leave a club which has unfortunately gone backwards (sorry guys but it’s the truth).

Still, I’ve said it before and I will say it again, we have lost better and survived – I just hope this doesn’t spark a massive exodus at the club.

Good day Gooners, this is good news for me and for other fellow gooners who witnesed the drop in form of our captain. it is said to see him leave but we have to look forward and try to instil belief to our team that we can make it without him. He wants to join a team that win trophies but he was the reason why we were beaten by Barca and remember he has a Barca DNA. We need our lawyers to meet whether we can investigate the lost against Barca as everyone knew we were this close to beat them then Fabregas gave them a gift so that he can be welcomed back. No regrets as we haven’t won a trophy with you playing then you shouldn’t call yourself a better player or a legend. To all those players who will remain at the club please do yourself a favour, step ut and show the world that you are the best and we don’t have debts to worry about. Win trophies and the club will pay you good salaries.

Good luck for the pre – season and hopefully next season we’ll come back stronger than before as we’ll be challenging for all trophies.

Sign good players Arsene and let those who leave only wish to come back, that’s how your treat a trator.

    Kharadonha till I die
