The time is right for Ramsey’s return

|

Arsenal’s Aaron Ramsey believes he is getting back to his best form ahead of his return to the Emirates on the weekend.

Ramsey, who had a brief loan spell at Nottingham Forest before joining Cardiff last month, has been working is way back to full fitness since suffering his horrific leg break against Stoke almost a year ago, but believes his return to the Arsenal first-team is fast approaching. The 20-year-old Welsh midfielder was quoted in the Daily Express saying:

‘I’m getting back to my best form. This is what these games have been for. I’m back in the swing of things now and I have got better and stronger with every game. Hopefully that can continue now and I can get back to where I was and be even better as quickly as I possibly can.’

Arsene Wenger had hoped to throw Aaron Ramsey straight into action against Leyton Orient in the F.A Cup on Wednesday, following encouraging reports from the Bluebirds. However, the F.A have since quashed Wenger’s plans for the youngster, and reminded the Frenchman that the midfielder has been made ineligible for the replay due to not partaking in the initial tie at Brisbane Lane.

I got a lot of stick from a number of Arsenal fans after writing an article a few months back which disapproved with Wenger’s decision to recall Ramsey back from his loan spell at Forest in early January. I truly believed the youngster needed more match practise under his belt before returning to Arsenal, and evidently, so did Wenger. Nevertheless, it’s great to see Aaron Ramsey getting back to his best.

With the Gunners still in all four competitions this season, I now believe the time is right for Ramsey to return to the club, and personally, can’t wait to see him back in the red and white of Arsenal. Welcome back Rambo!

Let’s hope that the goal against Leicester really does spur him on and he’s able to cope with the pace and pressure games have at this time of the season, I watched him a few times at Cardiff, albeit not recently, and he didn’t have the power in his legs one woul dhope for. With luck, he’s improved since then.

I hope he is ready for a return to Arsenal because we have a lot of games and of course we’ll need a big squad to help us push for every cup. Ramsey is a brilliant player and I hope he is back to his best.
