Arsenal have sent scouts to watch Torino striker Andrea Belotti, according to the Sun.

The Gunners will however face stiff competition to land the 23 year old. Arsenal’s Champions League rivals are said to have entered the race for the Italian international while Manchester United have also sent representatives in recent weeks to keep an eye on the forward.

Belotti has been consistently linked with a move to the Emirates, even to the extent that a Torino official confirmed that they had a bid for the player from the Gunners.

Back in January, Torino sporting director Gianluca Petrachi told reporters they had rejected a €65million from Arsenal for the forward; an offer that was denied by the Gunners.

Belotti would later sign a new contract with a €100million buyout clause. Arsenal will therefore have to shell out a significant sum if they do want to land a striker who has scored 17 goals in Serie A already this season for a mid-table side.
