Arsenal given transfer boost as star admits to Premier League desire

|

Monaco defensive midfielder Fabinho has admitted that he would be interested in moving to the Premier League one day.

The Brazilian star’s father Joao Roberto Tavares has stated in recent days that representatives from Arsenal, Manchester United and Manchester City had all been in contact about the 23 year old’s availability. Talking ahead of last night’s match against Man City in the Champions League, Fabinho was asked about the speculation. He was quoted by the Manchester Evening News as saying:

“I have a contract until 2021, but the Premier League is a league that interests me and maybe one day I will come and play here.”

Fabinho said he was aware of the interest from a number of Premier League clubs but he is currently content to stay at the Ligue One outfit:

“I know my name was linked with more than one English club but I am happy at Monaco at the moment.”

Fabinho started the 5-3 loss to Manchester City last night. The holding midfielder still impressed for Leonardo Jardim’s side with two assists, one for Radamel Falcao’s equaliser to make it 1-1, and one for forward Kylian Mbappe to put the French league side 2-1 up.
