Alexis Sanchez has been the subject of much discussion in the past few weeks as the Chilean has yet to put pen to paper on a new deal.

Reports claim the 28-year-old forward wants £300,000-a-week to remain at Arsenal, while the club have only offered him £180,000-a-week.

His current deal expires at the end of next season and his visible frustration in past games and no signs of negotiations over a new deal are starting to alarm those in the club and fans alike.

Sanchez has been linked with a move away as a result, with top European sides like Juventus, Paris Saint-German and Inter Milan reportedly keeping an eye on his contract situation, while clubs from China are ready to offer him monstrous wages to join the CSL.

PSG are reportedly preparing to launch a £60 million summer move for the Chile international, while sources in Italy suggest Juventus are considering a swap deal involving Miralen Pjanic, who Arsene Wenger apparently called up last week to enquire about a possible move to the Emirates, and Inter are also pondering a swoop for the Arsenal forward.

However, it appears Atletico Madrid are also joining the race for Sanchez’s services.

According to Don Balon, the La Liga club have identified the former Udinese and Barcelona man as a possible replacement for Antoine Griezmann, who is thought to be mulling over his future at Atletico.

Griezmann is arguably one of Europe’s finest forwards and Atletico’s key men since joining the club in 2014 from Real Sociedad.

Wenger is a keen admirer of Griezmann and apparently spoke to the 25-year-old during Euro 2016 over a possible move to Arsenal, which the French forward kindly turned down because he was happy at Atletico.

However, if reports are to be believed that he is growing unsettled at the Vicente Calderon and Sanchez’s future also remains in limbo, should Arsenal and Ateltico consider a possible swap move this summer? It’s certainly something both clubs shouldn’t rule out, and something I myself would be happy to see happen.
