Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has once again made it clear that the Gunners will not be buying any new players in the current transfer window.

Speaking ahead of the match against Burnley on Sunday, the Frenchman said he believes the Arsenal squad is well equipped heading in to the second half of the season:

“I expect it to be a very quiet period. We are very strong. We have many, many players who can come in.”

It has been a quiet window for Arsenal so far with no departures or arrivals of note with the exception of Cohen Bramall from non-league football. Wenger did however reveal at his press conference that right back Carl Jenkinson could be leaving on a permanent deal very soon.

It was expected that the 24 year old would be joining Crystal Palace this week, but so far there has been no news that talks have progressed since Wenger confirmed at his last press conference that Palace were in discussions with the player about a possible move to Selhurst Park.
