Paris Saint Germain will look to make an offer for Roma centre back Kostas Manolas, according to Mediaset.

The TV station say the French club are believed to be seeking to strengthen their back-line with a move for the Greek international.

Arsenal were said to have bid £34.6 million for Manolas in the summer before signing Shkodran Mustafi from Valencia instead. Whether they are still interested in the 25-year-old, it is uncertain.

Italian newspaper the Corriere Dello Sport has said that Chelsea, Arsenal and Inter Milan were the three main contenders for Manolas with Roma seemingly resigned to seeing the defender leave in the summer.

It now looks however that a fourth name in PSG will be involved in the bidding process. With Arsenal having recently signed up Laurent Koscielny to a new contract, it seems unlikely that the Gunners will be at the front of the queue for Manolas but with there being still question marks over the future of Per Mertesacker, it could mean that Arsene Wenger could be tempted to sign another high calibre centre-half.
