German tabloid BILD are reporting that Borussia Dortmund are not interested in signing Arsenal midfielder Gedion Zelalem.

The newspaper says that top German clubs are indeed interested in the American Under-23 international but Dortmund have made “no contact” with the player.

They measure the chances of the Bundesliga side signing Zelalem at 10% which would suggest that the player’s future still looks to be with the Gunners.

The 19-year-old was born in Germany, and played in Hertha Berlin’s youth system. He, however, emigrated to the United States with his father in 2006 and played for a number of youth teams in the US.

He was spotted by Arsenal scouts when Zelalem played for Olney Rangers in the Dallas Cup, and he moved to Arsenal in 2013. The midfielder has not yet played for the Gunners’ senior team but was loaned to Scottish Championship club Rangers last season where he played 28 times in all competitions.
