BILD are reporting that Arsenal and Juventus will rival Liverpool for the signing of RB Leipzig winger Emil Forsberg in the January transfer window.

Forsberg’s agent, Hasan Cetinkaya, has sparked a race for the Swedish international’s signature after telling the German newspaper that he can’t guarantee that the 25-year-old will remain with Leipzig beyond the winter.

Although he was reluctant to name the clubs interested in Forsberg, he did say that the player was in high demand, and that he could leave the Bundesliga:

‘I do not confirm concrete names. But after the great first half [of the season] for Emil, big clubs have asked me. RB [Leipzig] is on the way to becoming a big club… Nevertheless, I cannot promise that Emil will stay in Leipzig this winter.’

Forsberg has been in excellent form for a Leipzig side who have exceeded all expectations this season. With his side in second place after only being promoted last season, the midfielder has scored five goals and provided nine assists in just 15 Bundesliga games so far this campaign.

The Swede is predominantly right footed but has played mostly from the left wing for Leipzig. He was however sent off in his last match before the winter break in the 3-0 defeat to Bayern Munich.
