Barcelona have ended their interest in Sevilla midfielder Steven N’Zonzi, according to Mundo Deportivo.

The Spanish newspaper report that the Catalan club are not keen on paying £26 million for a player who is 28.

They report that N’Zonzi has already decided to leave Seville at the end of the season after rejecting a new contract to stay at the Spanish club back in December.

Juventus are believed to be willing to spend £26 million to trigger the player’s release clause, and Premier League clubs are also said to be in the running for the midfielder, most notably Arsenal.

The Sun reported earlier this month that the Gunners, Manchester City and Everton were all keeping tabs on the Frenchman. The former Blackburn Rovers and Stoke City midfielder only left England in 2015 to join Sevilla for £7 million but his reputation has skyrocketed after putting in a string of impressive performances for Jorge Sampaoli’s side this campaign.
