Arsene Wenger is reportedly pondering a shock move for former Gunner Cesc Fabregas this January.

The Daily Express, as claimed by TribalFootball.com, suggest Wenger is keen to reunite with Fabregas, who has started just two games for Chelsea since Antonio Conte took over the Stamford Bridge outfit.

With Santi Cazorla ruled out of action until March, Wenger may be forced to find a suitable replacement when the January transfer window opens.

Wenger has however said he will not be looking to add to his midfield despite Cazorla being out for several months.

It remains to be seen whether Wenger will in fact go against his word, especially if Arsenal are in touching distance of their Premier League rivals in the title race in the upcoming weeks.

Although Arsenal hammered West Ham yesterday 5-1 away from home, Cazorla’s presence and creativeness has been missed, so a move for Fabregas wouldn’t be seen as a bad one should the Frenchman change his stance on the matter.
