Ronald Koeman is ready to offload Ross Barkley in January – should Arsenal be interested?

The Sun reports today that the Everton boss has lost patience with the 23-year-old midfielder and has not been convinced by the England international’s performances since taking over the Merseyside club over the summer.

The national newspaper claims Koeman is now ready to listen to offers for Barkley in January, but the Toffees boss has yet to receive any serious offers or enquiries for the midfielder.

Barkley still has 18 months left to run on his current £65,000-a-week deal at Goodison Park, but Koeman supposedly wants to offload him at the earliest opportunity rather than see the player’s valuation drop next summer.

Manchester United were keen on Barkley’s services before he joined Everton, while Spurs are reportedly monitoring his situation ahead of a potential move next summer.

Should the right offer be tabled next month, its’ understood Koeman will offload the Scouser

Arsenal have been struggling creatively in midfield since the absence of Santi Cazorla and with the Spaniard set to be out of action until March, should Arsene Wenger consider Barkley as a potential signing this January?
