Brace yourself guys, Manuel Pellegrini is ready to make Alexis Sanchez the world’s highest paid player by offering the striker a monstrous wage package to join him in China.

According to The Sun, Pellegrini, who is now in charge of Hebei China Fortune, is preparing to offer the Chile international £500,000-a-week to join the Chinese Super League club:

‘If Alexis wants to come, we have a club for him right now. He can come to join us in China immediately.’

Hebei China Fortune also have former Gunner Gervinho and ex-Paris Saint-Germain forward Ezequiel Lavezzi, with the Argentine pocketing a ridiculous £493,000-a-week.

The former Manchester City manager added:

‘Step by step Alexis has led a career with a lot of intelligence.

‘He started in South America, always playing for big clubs.

‘After that he played in Italy, Spain and now in the Premier League, which is the most powerful in the world.

‘Alexis has always done things the right way. Chinese football is growing every day and the interest in going there is increasing all the time. Maybe at this moment it is difficult to get elite players to leave Europe for China.

‘But once they understand the environment and the great project that is building there I am sure many will come over.’

Sanchez has 18 months left to run on his existing contract at Arsenal and Arsene Wenger will not be happy to hear that the Chinese Super League club are ready to offer his star player sky-high wages.

However, Wenger has recently stated that not matter whether Alexis signs a new deal or not, the Chilean will see out his contract at Arsenal.

Arsenal are able to give Sanchez what he wants in terms of wages, but £500,000-a-week is simply over the odds for any footballer on the planet and would not make financial sense at all.

Sanchez has a big decision to make, but should he decide to go to China then clearly it’s all about the money rather than the game for him.
