Mario Balotelli has admitted he would one day consider a move back to the Premier League and likes the look of Arsenal.

The Italy international is currently playing for Ligue 1 side Nice and has rediscovered his goalscoring form at the French club.

But the controversial striker has recently revealed he would like to one day make a return to England, but not to Liverpool, despite describing his former club as a ‘good’ team with ‘amazing fans’.

Balotelli said his first-choice team would be Manchester City but also revealed he has a soft spot for the Gunners.

He told Chinese publication Xinhua:

‘[If I go back to England] for sure not Liverpool. Because I found myself [performing] very bad in Liverpool. I said the team was good and the fans are amazing, but I would never go back to Liverpool.

‘The first one I think in England is Manchester City, and the second team I always like is Arsenal. That doesn’t mean I’ll go to play there. I just like them.’

Although the Italian has the ability to succeed, his untamed persona unfortunately holds him back, making him controversial. But, to be fair, it does make him unique. If he ever did return to England, I doubt Arsenal would show an interest him purely because of his personality alone.
