Transfer blow for Arsenal as £38m deal nears completion

|

Arsenal are set to lose out on the signing of Wolfsburg’s Julian Draxler, according to Sky Sports News HQ. The German international revealed yesterday that he was speaking to a number of clubs and and had not made a final decision on his future, but the British broadcaster have sources close to the deal that believe he will sign for Paris Saint-Germain.

French newspaper L’Equipe reported that a deal had been finalised for Draxler to join PSG only for his club Wolfsburg to deny the story when a spokesperson was asked to comment by German magazine Kicker.

A Sky Sports News HQ source said that the deal for Draxler to move to France was very close to completion saying it is:

“99 per cent certain to happen today.”

Liverpool had also been linked with a move for the 23 year old, as well as the Gunners, but it seems that neither Premier League club will be signing the attacking midfielder. PSG are expected to pay an initial £38million to complete the deal.
