Schalke 04 midfielder Leon Goretzka has emerged as a main target for Arsenal, according to reports in Italy.
The 21-year-old has been in impressive form for the Bundesliga side this season, scoring three goals in 14 appearances so far, and has attracted interest from around Europe
Bayern Munich and Juventus are reportedly keeping tabs on Goretzka, but TransferMarketWeb now claim Arsenal, along with Manchester united, have also become interested in the German international.
Goretzka has supposedly been on Arsenal’s radar for more than three years but never made an approach for his services.
The German, who joined Schalke from Vfl Bochum in 2013, still has two-years left on his existing deal at the Bundesliga club and is valued at around £33 million.
Arsene Wenger has said he will not look to add to his midfield this January despite the long-term injury to Santi Cazorla, but nothing is set in stone.
