Paris Saint-Germain are plotting a move for Arsene Wenger at the end of the season, reports The Sun.

The Frenchman’s £160,000-a-week contract expires next summer and it is still unknown as to whether he will extend his stay at the north London club.

Despite a successful start to his reign as Arsenal manager, as well as the longest, the Emirates faithful are split on whether he can take the club to the next level after failing to win the Premier League title since 2004. Not only this, but his stubbornness to recruit during transfer windows when required or change his tactics in recent years have not gone down well with some fans.

Nonetheless, Wenger remains in charge of Arsenal and it has become apparent that only he will decide when it is time to leave the club, not the board.

However, his relationship with the fans have turned sour and even some of those that have kept faith in him appear to be reconsidering their stance on the matter.

Wenger has rejected plenty of job offers in the past, most notably from Real Madrid, Manchester City and newly England a few months ago.

But it has been PSG that have persistently pursuing the 67-year-old in recent years, and remains close with the Ligue 1 club’s top men.

There have been rumours floating about suggesting the Arsenal hierarchy are ready to offer Wenger a new two-year deal to stay on, but it remains to be seen if indeed this is just a fabrication or, proven accurate, if the Frenchman will put pen to paper on yet another contract.

Some fans will be happy to see PSG still interested in Wenger, whilst others would love nothing more than to see him join the French giants at the end of the season.
