Roma and AC Milan are still interested in signing Jack Wilshere, according to calciomercato.com.

The pair were interested in signing the 24-year-old before he joined Bournemouth on loan in the summer, but the Italian website say that the lack of contract talks has prompted a revival in the Italian side’s interest in the England international.

Wilshere has established himself as a regular at the Vitality Stadium on his season long loan from the Gunners. He he started 12 of the Cherries’ 17 league matches so far, but has yet to score for the South Coast side, with a single assist to his name.

The midfielder’s contract expires in 2018, but a report in the Daily Mail has suggested no talks between Arsenal and the player have taken place, and that Manchester City could be waiting in the wings.

The Mail also suggest that Wilshere “seriously” considered joining either Roma or Milan in the summer, which has prompted speculation that both clubs could revive a deal for the Englishman.
