Gunners readying huge offer for in-demand striker

|

Arsenal are reportedly preparing to launch a huge offer for Borussia Dortmund striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.

The Gabon international, who has netted 19 goals in 20 appearances for the Bundesliga club so far this season, has previously been linked with a move to Arsenal, and is once again on the wish lists of some of Europe’s top sides.

Last summer, the Gunners were heavily linked with a move for Aubameyang and reportedly offered £52 million for his services, but the German club were reluctant to sell their prized asset.

However, according to German tabloid Bild, as reported by talkSPORT.com, Arsene Wenger is very keen to add to his striking force and has targeted the 27-year-old.

But Dortmund will be unwilling to listen to any offers involving Aubameyang this January, and wouldn’t make sense on Arsenal’s part as he would be ineligible to feature for them in the Champions League.

Perhaps a move for another striker who will be available next month would be wiser for the Gunners to consider.
