The agent of Crotone goalkeeper Aniello Viscovo says he is not surprised there is interest in his client from big European clubs but the plan is for the player to stay at the Italian club to continue his professional development.

The Italian was linked with a move to the Gunners last week by Tuttomercatoweb.com and when asked in an interview by the same website Luigi Liberti said that Viscovo is not going anywhere for the time being. Asked about the Arsenal link, Liberti replied:

‘It comes as no surprise to me that there is interest from big clubs. Especially because he is a very serious and professional guy, going beyond the technical skills and value that make the difference in developing an important professional career.’

When asked about Viscovo’s future at his current club Crotone, Liberti said it is preferable that the player remains at his current club and play in a good environment:

‘Crotone repeatedly reiterated to me that they have have big plans for Nello, our objective at this time is only the steady growth of the boy.’

Viscovo has yet to make a first team appearance for the Serie A side despite the interest being shown in him. The 17 year old has however made the bench twice so far this campaign in the first two matches of the season against Bologna and Genoa.
