David Ospina wants to hold talks with Arsene Wenger at the end of the season over his long-term future at Arsenal.

The Colombian goalkeeper has started all five of Arsenal’s Champions League games and is set to make it a perfect six in six on Tuesday night against Basel.

An agreement was put in place during the summer where Ospina would be assured to start in European and domestic cup games while Petr Cech would be first-choice goalkeeper in the Premier League. So far it has happened, with Ospina not featuring in the league this season.

However, Ospina feels he will need more first-team football but will not consider a possible move away from the Emirates in January:

After Arsenal’s recent 2-2 draw with Paris Saint-Germain, the goalie said:

‘I am happy because I am playing.

‘But you always want to play more. Petr Cech wants to play and so do I. But I want to play more.’

The 28-year-old will not be short of suitors should he decide to leave Arsenal at the end of the season. Besiktas and Fenerbache were both keen on Ospina last year, but he opted to remain at Arsenal. A couple of French clubs were also monitoring his situation.

However, his plans could change after his meeting with Wenger at the end of the season.
