Arsenal are monitoring West Ham starlet Declan Rice.
The 17-year-old is regarded as one of British footballs outstanding young prospects after impressing for the West Ham Under-23 side this season,
The Sun suggests Arsenal are keeping tabs on the promising centre-back, who is highly-rated by Slaven Bilic following an impressive showing during the club’s pre-season tour of Austria against Rubin Kazan and Slovacko.
The Gunners are understood to be long-term admirers of Rice whose meteoric rise has seen him make the breakthrough into the Republic of Ireland Under-21 set up.
The Hammers are desperate to keep hold of Rice, who still has three-years left on his current deal.
However, should a good offer come in from Arsenal then the West Ham hierarchy could change their stance on the Under-23 captain.
Arsenal have been linked with a couple of defenders already this January and Rice is the latest name to be added to the list.
