Arsenal are keeping tabs on RB Leipzig winger Emil Forsberg, according to calciomercato.it.

The Italian website report that the Gunners have sent scouts several times to watch the 25-year-old. They say Forsberg’s performance against France for Sweden in the World Cup qualifier back in November impressed them in particular.

Forsberg scored a free-kick to open the scoring in that game but goals from Paul Pogba and Dimitri Payet turned the match around. The Swedish international has also starred for Leipzig during the German side’s impressive league campaign.

He has scored five goals and provided nine assists in 15 league games so far in the Bundesliga. He was, however, sent off in the 3-0 defeat against Bayern Munich on Tuesday night.

His rich vein of form has attracted the interest of other clubs, including Liverpool, Juventus and Roma. Roma in particular are very keen to sign the winger, and calciomercato.it report that the Serie A side have contacted Forsberg’s agent and have met on two different occasions to discuss a move already.
