When you look at Arsenal’s side, in the main, they have title winning quality in each position.
Up front, though they are short on options, Alexis Sanchez is a world class player whilst Olivier Giroud can still do a decent job, too.
In midfield, an area Arsenal have always been strong in, you’ve got the likes of Aaron Ramsey, Mesut Ozil, Santi Cazorla and Theo Walcott as well as others who would all have a chance of getting into any side in the Premier League at the moment.
Then, at the back, Laurent Koscielny is seen as one of the best centre-back’s around whilst Hector Bellerin looks like he can be as good as he wants to be down the right. Shkodran Mustafi is improving, too, whilst Petr Cech is obviously class in goal.
That leaves one position, though – left back. Neither Nacho Monreal or Kieran Gibbs are that great and if Arsenal really want to win the league you feel a new left sided defender would be the next step forward in January.
We certainly think so and reckon Arsene Wenger should be looking at these five…
