In truth, many expected the Gunners to win with ease but they still needed to produce when it mattered against a side that has drawn with FC Basel and did take the lead against PSG in the group this season.
Nevertheless, Arsenal dispatched them with ease as they stretched their run of winning games ahead of their return to Premier League action at the weekend against struggling Middlesbrough at the Emirates.
Arsene Wenger will surely play a similar side to the one that won so emphatically last night against the team from Teeside with a number of players impressing hugely despite what was expected to be an easy win anyway.
