With Arsene Wenger quoted yesterday in The Daily Mail as saying he’ll be leaving the club to his successor in a strong position, it reminds us that the legendary Frenchman will not be at the club forever.
Like it did with Sir Alex Ferguson at Manchester United it seems weird to imagine Arsenal heading out on to the pitch without Wenger in the dugout but at some point that is exactly what is going to happen.
Wenger will surely look back on his time in London with great pride as he has presided over three Premier League titles and six FA Cup wins so far as well as the move to the Emirates. He should be remembered fondly too by the fan-base because, as United fans will tell you, you’re never sure what could be around the corner.
If the Gunners have anything to learn from their great rivals it is to make sure they get the first post-Wenger appointment and one of this three would surely be ideal…
