According to football365 Inter Milan forward Mauro Icardi could soon be leaving the club after the Nerazzuri’s vice-president made certain comments about him.

The striker is the second highest scorer in Serie A this season but Inter are struggling in the league and comments he has made in his autobiography have led to many of their fans turn against the captain.

Icardi reportedly confronted one of the Inter Milan ultras after losing to Sassuolo 3-1 and says that his team-mates were on his side in the dressing room, thus creating the rift and it could come as Arsenal’s profit.

Inter’s vice-president is former player Javier Zanetti and the Argentine said of Icardi possibly losing his captaincy because of what’s happened:

‘We cannot accept this behaviour from a person who works for our club. After this match we will talk things over and see what happens. Will we remove the captain’s armband? We’ll talk about it later, but this is an issue not just for Icardi, but for everyone who is part of the club. Behaviour must be in line with the values of the history of Inter.’

It is The Sun who think the Gunners will go for the striker because of this situation as they look for competition for Olivier Giroud and Lucas Perez.

Arsenal are currently joint top of the Premier League with Manchester City whilst in Italy Inter are ten points off of Juventus.
