Arsenal midfielder Santi Cazorla is attracting interest from Italian side Juventus, according to Italian media outlet CalcioMercatoWeb.

The Spaniard’s contract at the Emirates expires next summer, which has led to the Serie A side keeping tabs on the 31-year-old’s situation in a bid to land him on a free at the end of the season.

The Italian giants, who have won the Serie A title for five successive seasons, have reportedly held talks about bringing Cazorla to Turin at the end of the current campaign.

Although the Spanish international has yet to pen a new deal in North London, the midfielder would like to stay at Arsenal should he be offered a new deal:

‘If they’ll offer me a contract, I’ll sign it because I am very happy with this great club.

‘I am happy here. I am trusted by the manager and my team-mates.’

These words are sure to please many Arsenal fans, as Cazorla’s influence at the Emirates since arriving in 2012 should not be understated.

The Spaniard has scored 25 goals and laid on 35 assists in his Premier League career, and has become an integral part of Arsene Wenger’s midfield.

However, some Gunners fans will undoubtedly be concerned that the club have yet to offer Cazorla a new deal, as there is a risk that he could be turned by interest from other clubs.

As of yet, only Juventus have expressed a clear interest in the midfielder, but a number of clubs could begin to monitor the situation if no contract is offered within the next few weeks.
