Lucas Perez has revealed that he is happy to bide his time for first team opportunities on the bench from Arsenal.

A new signing in the summer from Deportivo La Coruna, the striker has seen playing time limited so far this season with the likes of Alexis Sanchez in such good form down the middle of the pitch.

The Spaniard, though, is feeling patient, as reported by The Daily Star:

‘We have had seven wins in a row so it is normal that the master [Arsene Wenger] is trusting in the same players. The most important thing is to be ready to do my best when I have the chance. I am very happy at the club, in the city and my family is also very happy.’

Arsenal have indeed won seven games straight in all competitions after a 6-0 thrashing of Bulgarian side Ludogorets in the Champions League on Wednesday night. That result left them all but qualified for the knockout stages of the competition as they compete with PSG for top spot and attention is now returning to this weekend’s visit of Middlesbrough to the Emirates.

The Teeside club are beginning to struggle in the Premier League this season after another loss against Watford last time out and the Gunners know that should they win and Manchester City do not, they’ll have the outright lead in the division.
