According to CalcioMercato in Italy, Roma defender Kostas Manolas has rejected the opportunity to sign a new deal with Arsenal reportedly rumoured to be interested in his signature.
The Roma man has been a key part of their team so far this season with 12 appearances in all competitions under his belt but may not be in the Italian capital much longer.
The Greek international does have a contract with his current side until 2019 so whilst a new deal is not urgent, this apparent snub could open the door to Arsenal who were reportedly linked in the summer with a move for him.
The Gunners did eventually sign a different centre-half in the transfer window in the shape of Shkodran Mustafi but with Per Mertesacker still injured and Gabriel not receiving much game-time another player in this position could be required by Arsene Wenger.
Manolas will next be in action for Roma in the Europa League against Austria Wien on Thursday.
