Speaking to Manchester United’s official website, striker Marcus Rashford has said that the hardest player he has come up against so far in his career is Arsenal centre half Laurent Koscielny.
As reported by the London Evening Standard the England and United man was quoted in saying of who his hardest opponent had been:
‘I think, individually, it would be Laurent Koscielny at Arsenal. He was a difficult defender to play against.’
The pair faced each other when Manchester United beat Arsenal 3-2 at Old Trafford, the game Marcus Rashford made his debut in and scored in but Koscielny impressed him during that fixture too.
United and Arsenal next face each other in the Premier League on 19th November with the Gunners currently three points ahead of the Red Devils in the Premier League.
This weekend sees United travel to Liverpool as Arsenal host Swansea and Koscielny should start the game after coming back from the international break with France wherein they secured two wins over Bulgaria and the Netherlands respectively.
