Arsenal midfielder Jack Wilshere has vowed to prove his doubters wrong by making a lasting impression while on loan at Bournemouth this season.

The England international has fallen down the North London pecking order and now has the likes of Santi Cazorla, Francis Coquelin, Granit Xhaka and Mohamed Elneny ahead of him in Arsene Wenger’s preferences.

Aa a result, Wilshere has been sent to the Vitality Stadium for the campaign, where he is expected to receive much more regular football in the Premier League.

The Gunners homegrown hero made his Cherries debut against West Brom at the weekend, coming off the bench to play a role in Eddie Howe’s men winning 1-0.

Wilshere has stated that he is motivated to progressing at the Vitality Stadium and that he has a point to prove by staying fit and thriving in the Bournemouth first team.

“I came on in the No. 10 position and then moved to the right for the team,” he told the club’s official website.

“I can do that role and I can also play deeper. I am comfortable in all of those positions. Different games bring different problems, so we will see.

“The biggest aim for me, and I am sure everyone is aware of it, is to get as many games as possible. That was the idea coming here.

“If there’s any question mark over me I know it’s my fitness. So hopefully I can play as many games as possible, prove everyone wrong and re-kick my career.”

Wilshere has been plagued by injury concerns over recent seasons and as such just staying fit for the campaign will be a major boost for Arsenal and the player.
