According to reports from Get French Football News, Arsenal defender Mathieu Debuchy wants to stay in London should he leave the Emirates Stadium this summer.

The Gunners signed the France international from Newcastle United in summer 2014 but he’s gone on to make just twelve appearances in the Premier League.

Youngster Hector Bellerin has shot above Debuchy in the pecking order, to the extent that the Frenchman finished last season on loan at Bordeaux whilst the 21-year-old claimed a place in the PFA Team of the Year.

The right-back looks set to leave north London this summer and Get French Football News claim he’s looking for the Arsenal exit door.

Galatasaray have reportedly been in contact, but the French news outlet claim the 31-year-old is keen to stay in England and – if possible – London.

Arsenal already have back-up to resident No.2 Bellerin in the form of Calum Chambers, who can play at right-back or centre-half.
