Arsenal fringe defender Mathieu Debuchy has rejected the chance to join Italian side Roma on loan, according to The Daily Mail.
The France international has fallen down the pecking order at the Emirates Stadium following the emergence of Hector Bellerin and is facing the prospect of a season without much football if he stays in North London.
Debuchy spent the second half of last season out on loan at Bordeaux and is expected to find himself another temporary employer this term that can offer more regular first-team football than is on offer with the Gunners.
The report suggests that Roma were keen to add the former Newcastle United defender to their squad for 2016-17, but that the full-back has spurned a chance to join the capital city side.
Arsenal already have a deal in place with the Giallorossi for Wojciech Szczesny to spend this term on loan with the Serie A club, while former Gunner Thomas Vermaelen is also on their books.
